Tuingam Angkang is preparing natural cosmetics with her grandmother’s recipe that uses perilla seeds that are known for their antioxidant and anti-allergy properties. Today, she is taking the same place as a brand to reach more and more people.
According to Tuingam Angkang, her grandmother used to make a paste of these seeds first and after that she used to press the paste to extract oil droplets from it, which later Grandma used to re-moisten Tuingam Angkang’s dry skin. This grandmother’s recipe was very successful in healing the cracked skin during the severe winter in Manipur.

Now almost two decades later, Tuingam Angkang launched the Secret Cosmetics brand in the year 2019, under which she is making cold pressed products using the same perilla seeds. All these products are endowed with good proteins and fats, which are very effective in keeping a person’s skin better. It is known that perilla seeds are rich in omega 3.
Tuingam Angkang launched Perilla Seeds Face Oil in December 2020 and has developed other skincare and beauty products in the past as well.
Apart from the all-natural face-packs designed for the face, Tuingam Angkang is now also working on a new range of soaps and haircare products. It is worth noting that the products of Secret Cosmetics are being sold in India as well as being exported abroad.
