In the video, Dr. Sharvari Inamdar is seen doing weight lifting, but what has attracted the attention of the people the most is that Dr. Sharvari is wearing a saree during the weight lifting. It is worth mentioning that Dr. Sharvari had come to workout in her open gym after the lockdown wearing a saree.
Through her video, she is seen tearing down all the stereotypes of the society, which is gripped in patriarchy and unnecessarily imposed on women.

Breaking these myths
Talking in one of her interviews, Dr. Sharvari has told that it is not that she wears a saree every day, but when the gym opened after a long lockdown, she felt as if it was a festival.
Dr. Sharvari while talking on this issue says that many women in our society feel that if they do not feel comfortable in any kind of clothes other than saree, then going to gym is not for them. Whereas this is just an illusion.
She tells women across the country that women can wear whatever they feel comfortable in and do whatever they want and don’t have to worry about any thoughts about it.
Dr. Sharvari is champion powerlifter
Dr. Sharvari runs an Ayurvedic clinic in Pune and is also a champion powerlifter. Even before this, Dr. Sharvari has been sharing videos of her workout and powerlifting on social media.
Dr. Sharvari’s objective behind this is to make more and more women aware of exercise through their videos, so that women do not have to face health hazards with increasing age.
According to Dr. Sharvari, weight training helps in improving the bone density and muscle mass of women. When people train with weights, they eat well and take care of their bodies. Along with this, they make themselves emotionally, physically and mentally strong and it is very important for women.

Has won many awards
Champion in powerlifting Dr. Sharvari has won the female powerlifting title of Maharashtra state 4 times. Dr. Sharvari is now preparing to represent the country at the international level in powerlifting.
Significantly, her husband helps her during her training in the gym and she has full support of her family.
