The country’s courts are burdened with pending cases and the supreme court of the country is no different. However, now an AI-driven startup has started working to get the Supreme Court out of this problem.
In the first week of April this year, the Supreme Court of India had unveiled an AI-powered initiative called the Supreme Court Portal for Assistance in Courts Efficiency (SUPACE). This initiative will work to settle the pending cases lying in various courts of the country.
Amazing of this startup
The work of preparing SUPACE has been done by startup Mancorp Innovation Labs based in Pune, Nagpur and Delhi. This startup has taken the help of technology so that people can get justice in less time. The startup has also run its pilot projects in the Patna High Court where AI was used for case allocation. Simultaneously, the startup had created a chatbot called Jharkhand Samvad for the High Court of Jharkhand.
Talking to the media, Manthan Trivedi , who founded the company with Rathin Deshpande and Vishnu Geete in the year 2018, has told that the Jharkhand High Court did not have enough staff to assist the judges. The chatbot answers questions in the same way that a law researcher would read a case.
Had left Howard’s studies
Manthan Trivedi was at Harvard University in 2015 and left Harvard’s studies and came to India to work on his idea. Mancorp Innovation Labs is now also working on an Automatic Defect Identification System for the Income Tax Department.
