If we compare the central contract of Pakistan and India, there is an incomparable difference in the salary of the players of the three categories of both countries. The situation is such that, the amount C grade players get in India is even more than the total amount of entire central contract grades in Pakistan.
Recently, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had announced their contract list for the senior men’s team for 2021-22 season.
Central Contracts List
Generally, the central contracts of cricketers had a total of three categories – Category A, Category B and Category C. Presently, India and Pakistan have added their fourth category.
India has created a new category as ‘A+ contracts category’, in which each player will get a salary of 7 Crore Indian Rupees.
Pakistan has also created a new category in addition to those three categories, i.e. ‘Emerging Players Category’. Three young players have been included in this category, who have been selected by their performance. Although the amount that players will or will not receive in this category has not been disclosed.

India: The BCCI’s central contract has a total of four grades- grade A plus, grade A, grade B and grade C.
India has 3 cricketers in grade A Plus, 10 cricketers in grade A, 6 cricketers in grade B and 9 cricketers in grade C.
- 7 Crore Indian Rupees to Grade A Plus cricketers.
- 5 Crore Indian Rupees to Grade A cricketers.
- 3 Crore Indian Rupees to Grade B cricketers.
- 1 Crore Indian Rupees to Grade C cricketers.

Pakistan: The PCB’s central contract has mainly of three grades- grade A, grade B and grade C.
Pakistan has 3 cricketers in grade A, 8 cricketers in grade B and 7 cricketers in grade C.
- 96 Lakh Pakistan Rupees (45 Lakh INR) to Grade A cricketers.
- 60 Lakh Pakistan Rupees (25 Lakh INR) to Grade B cricketers.
- 42 Lakh Pakistan Rupees (19 Lakh INR) to Grade C cricketers.
